Double ended bits

Loving the stainless steel driver and the build quality, and I’m currently using it with my 50mm single ended bits. I came across this video that shows a case where the magnet has become cracked and I wonder whether double ended bits would be recommended against?

It seems to me that in high torque applications where you’re applying in-line force to keep the bit from cam-out, the force would be concentrated in a single point on the brittle magnet from the tip of the not-in-use double-ended bit. I’ve been avoiding double ended bits in the meantime, but what would be the general advice?

I will say, the person in this video took his Driver apart in a way we do not recommend or advise. The chuck pin is press fit to the Driver and should not be removed because this can cause damage.

What you’ve outlined with the dual ended bit can happen if you’re intending to use a lot of force. However, the magnet is a neodymium magnet so you can expect it to hold up well in most cases.

We would never recommend against a well-rounded set of bits :wink:.
