Our latest MetMo is due to launch this Thursday at 4pm. What’s more exciting than Newtonian glass and small discs made out of tungsten?! (Don’t answer that…)
MetMo Open Afternoon - Round 2
Before summer ends we’re gearing up for another MetMo Open House event, our last of the year. The date for your diary is Saturday the 5th September. Just like before, we’d love to know if you plan on coming down and getting involved in all things MetMo. Let us know HERE!
What’s new?
- Hosting this on a Saturday instead of a Friday should mean less of you will have to take time off work to attend (or pull a sicky - we’re not judging 
)

News on the Shop Floor 
Helico Production Update
New Helico MK3’s are well underway, with the new machining process we brought in for this now in full swing. We did have some initial challenges with the finial finishing where everything kept getting dented, but thankfully we’re through that particular issue and have a new process where each gear is now finished by hand. It takes a bit longer, but the end result is so worth it!
These are all on track for shipping out in October, and we’re really excited to see what you all think!
Micro-Update on the Pocket Grip
Pocket grips are in full production now and the chips are flying! We’re starting to build up a sizeable stack of parts and will have plenty to share soon.
The first batch of parts is getting prepped for sending over to the anodising factory where the aerospace grade aluminium will go from a raw machined look, to our nice MetMo matt black finish.
Also happening is packaging! It’s as exciting as it sounds… Inbound to us is a whole load of foam shapes that all match up with the products ready for sending out, but we’ll have more on that when they arrive in the coming weeks.
Linishing All The Way Home
Recently our old linisher (which we’ve been using since we first started!) snapped it’s drive belt, and after fixing that up we thought it’s probably time for a bit of an upgrade. So, we went out and got ourselves a belt grinder!
Because working on our products is a fairly specialised event, anything off the shelf wasn’t going to quite do what we wanted… So we set to work heavily modifying the grinder to give us a nice and open 90 degree vertical working area, while still letting us see the job, and have the serious horsepower of a larger belt grinder.
And behold, Grind Bot.
There’s a new MetMo on the horizon 
There’s a new MetMo coming and his name is Eddy…
This guy is another scientific marvel. Due to launch towards the end August.
